Virtual Bible Study Group

Our virtual Bible study group is designed to break the Bible down into bite-sized chunks that can be tackled each week. The group meets once a week over Zoom, and discusses a pre-selected Bible passage that each group member reads independently prior to the meeting.

At the meeting, we discuss what we observe in the passage and what we think it means. This is not a lecture group - everyone is a participant in working through the observation and interpretation steps of Bible study. For those wanting to go above and beyond, becoming familiar with Dr. Henricks’ “Living By The Word” would be a strong step to take.

Here is a sample meeting agenda:

1. Open with prayer for the participants

2. Review observations from the assigned text

3. Discuss interpretations of the assigned text

4. Share any stories of how God is at work in the participants’ lives

5. Collect prayer requests and close in prayer
